My first custom competition rifle was built on a 1086 single shot for F-Class in .300 Win Mag. Cerakote in Tungsten Grey with a Krieger barrel, Red/White/Blue McMillan F-Class stock and Leupold optics. What a smooth action! The M16 extractor worked perfectly and I loved the machined in 20 MOA rail. This gave one more step toward accuracy and reliability without having a separate bolt on scope base, and it added strength and rigidity to the action to help support a heavier barrel. My next build will be a sniper rifle on this action with detachable magazines.
